New Single Student Housing Application

Current and potential students seeking housing must complete a housing application with questions regarding housing preferences and other related matters. The completion of the housing application is integral to BYU's preparation for accommodating students, which will streamline the housing process for all individuals. Filling out the housing application does not mean BYU has reached a decision regarding the student's admission status, nor does it influence BYU's admission decision-making process. In order to complete a housing application, a person must first submit an admission application to BYU.

BYU Student Housing Policy

For their first two semesters as a BYU student, all single undergraduate students must live (1) in BYU On-Campus Housing, (2) in BYU Off-Campus Contracted Housing, or (3) with qualifying family members. This applies to all single BYU undergraduate students, including transfer students, who are matriculated, meaning they have been admitted to a degree-seeking program.
